Dr. Rohit Rungta is a Senior & Leading Consultant Nephrologist & Kidney Transplant Physician in Kolkata. His area of practice encompasses not only Kolkata, but Howrah, Hooghly, adjoining areas of Bihar, Jharkhand, Nepal and Bangladesh as well.
He has an experience of more than 15 years and is currently attached to Medica Superspeciality Hospital, Kolkata and AMRI, Mukundapur , Kolkata (for Kidney Transplant only).
He has presented many papers in National and International Journals as well as delivered talks in World Congress of Nephrology at Cape Town, Denmark and Australia for three consecutive years.
He also takes care of teaching programs for post-doctoral trainees in Nephrology, Post Graduate trainees in Medicine and Dialysis Technicians as well.
He is a clinician par excellence, which is clearly evident in the effort he puts behind the holistic management of his patients.

Without doubt,the best Nephrologist you can come across. Once you are in Sir's hand it's the best one can hope for because you can blindly trust in him to be your saviour. My father is his regular patient for the last 1 year and amidst several complications without doubt he is the best in how he deals with every patient one to one. My father is unfortunately suffering from ca prostrate and kidney problems. Due to financial problems,without an option, he is getting his treatment from a Esi hospital where he gets some treatment which we dont trust in... I am very lucky to find Dr. Rungta sir who saved my father multiple times with his guidance and treatment whenever things go out of control... moreover, his assurance always motivates my father like no body... last week, my father was admitted with creatinine 9 where other doctors suggested for dialysis but Dr. RUNGTA sir is no money minded person. He values human beings for being a human being.. He suggested to put a stent and now my father's creatinine fell down drastically... I highly recommend Dr. RUNGTA sir 🙏🙏

My husband Abhisek Ganguly is renal patient under Dr.Rihit Rungta from 2017.He went through COVID twice nearing to death. It was Dr.Rungta who saved him twice .At present he is in dialysis in Medica as and Sir has advised us to go for renal transplant immediately. I have full faith on his diagnosis as Transplant physician.He is the best Nephrologist in this country.His motivating behaviour politeness and patience helps to boost the morale of the patients as well as their family members.

Took my dad today . Surprisingly such a patient doctor. Heard us through out. All our novice questions were answered. He assured that my dad is doing great at 70's .
Surprisingly he didn't ask us to any tests as all his previous tests were done from outside. He also said next time he comes for checkup he has no issues getting/checking reports from any diagnostics he wants !
